Vyshyvanka Run 2025
On August 24, 2025, Kyiv hosted the 12th Vyshyvanka Run, an annual patriotic sporting event dedicated to Ukraine's Independence Day. The event occurred in the VDNG Urban Park and brought together more than 2000 participants of all ages and training levels.
The Taras Bulba Marathon Club and the Ukrainian company Creative States organized the event.
Participants could choose one of the following courses: 5 km, 10 km, 21.1 km (half marathon), 5 km Nordic walking, or 100 and 500 meters for children. Participation was free for children and combatants.
Each registered participant received a starter pack, which included a branded T-shirt with an embroidered ornament, a running backpack, a bib number with a transponder chip for time measurement, and a commemorative finisher's medal.
The main goal of the Run in Embroidered Shirts 2025 was to raise funds for children with special needs. A portion of participants’ registration fees was donated to TulSun Foundation, which supports orphans, children with disabilities, and children deprived of parental care.
Thanks to the Run in Embroidered Shirts, interactive learning for children with disabilities has become a reality. TulSun Foundation was able to purchase a Briolight interactive panel for the students of the Mostyshche Special School.
The organizing team personally visited the school, met the children, and witnessed the impact of the new equipment. The interactive panel helps students acquire new knowledge and skills, develop creativity and logical thinking, and makes the learning process engaging, inclusive, and accessible for every child.
This project demonstrated the true power of unity and became a testament to how sport and culture can inspire people, create meaningful impact, and bring positive change to communities.
"The 2025 Vyshyvanka Run proved once again that running is more than just a sport. It is a way to express yourself, unite around shared values, and support each other. And even in times of war, it is an event that gives hope, strength, and inspiration.
