Vyshyvanka Run 2026

The 13th annual Vyshyvanka Run will occur on August 23, 2026, in Kyiv, traditionally in the capital's VDNG Urban Park. This event coincides with Ukraine's Independence Day and aims to unite thousands of participants nationwide.

Runners will start the race dressed in national T-shirts, symbolizing Ukrainian unity.
The NGO Taras Bulba Marathon Club organizes the event in partnership with Creative States, a Ukrainian company that provides innovative office spaces and event solutions. Over the past three years, more than 5,000 runners—from children to professional athletes—have participated.

The Taras Bulba Marathon Club
is an NGO established in 2014 by marathon running enthusiasts and professional athletes to promote a healthy lifestyle, develop children's and youth sports in Ukraine, and, in particular, restore Kyiv's glory as a city of marathon runners. Oleksandr Kuzin is the club's founder, a Ukrainian athlete specializing in long-distance, cross-country, and marathons.

Where and when can I pick up the starter pack?

The starter pack can be picked up on August 22 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Creative State of Arsenal, located at 8 Knyaziv Ostrozkykh St., building 7, Kyiv.

What do I need to bring to collect the package?

You need to bring:

- An identity document

- A printed or electronic version of the starting list

- A signed consent and waiver form

Will there be water and food on the route?

Yes, pit stops along the route will provide water and light refreshments.

What happens in case of an air raid?

If there is an air raid, the race will be temporarily suspended. All participants must go to the shelters within the VDNH territory. Once the air raid is over, the race can resume, and the schedule will be adjusted accordingly.

What documents are required for military personnel to participate for free?

Free participation in the run (100%) is provided exclusively to the following categories of participants:

  • persons with combat veteran (UBD) status

  • active employees of the National Police of Ukraine

  • active employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU)

To receive a promo code for registration:

  2. Provide your full name

  3. Attach a photo/scan of a document confirming your status

  4. Await confirmation and your personal promo code within three business days
